Renting out a property is a great source of extra income and
when it all goes well, you can sit back, relax and enjoy the
extra cash. But things can go wrong causing you major headaches
- as well as unpaid bills and demands from your local council.
What do you do if your tenant doesn't pay the rent or damages
your property? How do you respond to the local council's lists
of concerns about the building or your tenants?
While there is plenty of information about tenant's rights,
there is little about landlords. Tenants can easily access details
of where to go for free legal help and advice to challenge you,
the landlord. But where do you go for professional help?
You can consult a solicitor with an open cheque book but with
no guarantee that you will get the right result. Because you
are a landlord, you won't qualify for free legal help so your
local advice agency will be reluctant to get involved. You need
specialist, honest advice and help at a price you can afford.
This is where we can help.
